Ominous Signs
9 Jun 2014
Parma had been kind to me with hot, clear days that continued on late into the nights. Too hot at times though and it seemed to have been that way for a while. The Torrente Parma, despite it’s fearful sounding name, was almost completely dry apart from pockets of water along the riverbed that were laden with small fish surviving until the Gods would give them some respite.
That day was today. Ominous signs of the impending downpour formed as dark, thick cloud rolled into Parma and gathered over the Basilica di Santa Maria della Steccata.
