The Battle of Ponsonby

This year’s Auckland Pride Parade lifted the battle for visibility to new heights.

On Battlefield A: the major banks, locked in a furious show of might and numbers while not presenting any real reason for being there. Kudos to ANZ for novel and extensive use of balloons which would otherwise be transformed into caricatures of smalls dogs.

On Battlefield B: a resumption of the parade of political parties. I’ll give this one to Labour for having more top brass on display with Phil Goff in particular looking like he was enjoying his time out. Compare and contrast with Andrew Little on the other hand; not quite his scene methinks.
