A woman takes a quiet moment.
The Barcelona Travel Journal is now up. This documents the time spent in Barcelona and Calella by my mate Tom and myself when we journeyed there to compete in the Challenge Barcelona long distance triathlon. A great place, and race for those who are inclined.

A swimmer tests the water before race start.
A clear, bright, and blisteringly hot morning at Maraetai Beach, and that’s before the race even started. Conditions would only get hotter as the race progressed. Well done to all that competed, especially to the female competitor who headed out for her third and final lap of the run while prize-giving was underway, approximately 8 hours after race start.
Competitors begin the swim leg and head out towards the first buoy.
The chase packs hits the shore several minutes behind the leaders.
